Not a moment to lose on testing

Commenting on the creation of a Global Travel Taskforce to investigate how a testing regime for international arrivals could be implemented to boost safe travel to and from the UK, Henry Smith MP, Chair of the APPG for the Future of Aviation said:

“I don’t see any reason for a delay. Other countries like Italy, Germany, France, Austria, UAE and Singapore already are testing and have been for a while.

“It’s not like we are dealing with an unknown. We've already fallen behind our international competitors when it comes to Covid-19 testing for air travel, and that has put us at a competitive disadvantage. There isn’t a moment to lose to introduce a system.”
